CopingMap exists to help people understand patterns with less shame and more choice. Privacy is part of that. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control your information.
What we collect

- Assessment information: your responses and results generated from those responses.
- Basic usage information: data needed to keep the site working and improve reliability (for example, timestamps and diagnostic logs).
Why we collect it
- To create and maintain your account.
- To deliver your assessment results and allow you to return to them later.
- To improve CopingMap, including fixing bugs and enhancing clarity and accuracy.
- To communicate important service messages (for example, security notices).
- To occasionally share product updates, improvements, or new features. We do not spam. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your assessment data with advertisers.
- We do not create marketing profiles based on your assessment responses.
How we share information
We only share information in limited situations:
- Service providers: We may use trusted providers to operate CopingMap (for example, email delivery). They are permitted to process data only to provide those services.
- Legal and safety: We may disclose information if required by law or if necessary to protect the security of CopingMap and its users.
Cookies and similar technologies
CopingMap uses cookies or similar technologies primarily for authentication and basic site functionality. We may also use limited analytics to understand what is working and what is confusing so we can improve the experience.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion, and we will delete or de-identify data unless we are required to retain it for legal or security reasons.
